English Georgian Tilt Top Bird Cage Wine Table
A beautiful example of a Georgian mahogany tilt-top table in untouched condition. With a wonderfully worn top resting upon a delicately crafted ‘Bird Cage’, held aloft by a gun-barrel centre leg connected to a three footed tripod base.
For me, this is not only a perfect colour and patina, but is a piece of furniture which has been used continuously throughout the ages since it’s creation in Georgian England. To my mind, you could not find a more honest and pleasing piece of English furniture which after all these years is still incredibly useable.
